Autumn Term
We have been enjoying exploring the story of The Gruffalo this Autumn term!
First we found clues in our Forest School that lead us to the Gruffalo... We explored the feelings and emotions of the different characters especially the poor mouse although we realised he was quite a clever mouse! We researched different forest animals and discovered that some hibernate in the winter. We enjoyed creating the characters from the story using different media such as clay and collage. Finally the mouse wrote to us suggesting we make Gruffalo crumble. We followed a recipe and created the crumble which was delicious, we even left some for the mouse !
